An electric fan depicts a device that generates airflow so as to provide ventilation, comfort etc. to the user. They consume very less electricity as compared to that consumed by air conditioners. An electric fan generally comprises of various blades that are attached to the main motor. The blades of electric fans come in various shapes and sizes. It also has a switch that controls the speed of the fan. Some electric fans are also used to freshen up the room i.e. by sticking sheets of fabric softener to protective housing. They can be fixed anywhere like hanging them in the ceiling, placing on table etc
